  Took my car here for a logbook service. A week later I was broken down on the side of the highway with an issue I’d never encountered before. I have some knowledge on cars and thought that it seemed fuel related. During the logbook service I’d had the fuel filter replaced and once I’d had my car towed back, I suggested that they should check it out to see if it had caused the problem. They insisted that no, the issue had nothing to do with the fuel filter, and instead that the breakdown was due to my car burning oil and misfiring. I had known about my car burning oil for months and had been managing it; to me the breakdown did not seem indicative of an oil issue at all. It took my car breaking down outside the workshop after we’d come to pick it up, after it had been “fixed” for them to actually look at what I’d suggested (even then they did so reluctantly). Lo and behold, when they’d put the fuel filter in, they hadn’t fitted it properly, and so the car was reading that it had plenty of fuel when actually the tank was totally empty. I get it, mistakes happen, but their total refusal to listen to me at any point was extremely frustrating, and also we hardly got any sort of apology when we picked up the car a second time. They also lied to me- they’d insisted that they’d road tested the car and it was definitely an oil issue, but obviously they couldn’t have because the car was totally out of fuel. Furthermore, based on their advice I was already looking at buying a new car - just because mine was OUT OF FUEL. It’s just not good enough. My safety was seriously at risk when I was broken down on the side of a busy highway (in the pitch black) because of their mistake. They did a shoddy job of the service anyway- didn’t even pick up on the fact that my handbrake seriously needed adjusting and didn’t even bother filling out a service sticker. I’ve been going here for years - take my advice and go somewhere that actually cares about their customers.

  Mark , John and the crew are very professional at Repco Highton, bringinging back The Corner Garage( Georges Garage) old fashioned and honest service. Had a few issues that couldnt be sorted out, and at a little anguish, but perhaps major problems for repairs should also be sought by experts in particular fields, and am more than Happy to recommend thier service!

  It's great to find a mechanic that actually does what they say. They are efficient & reasonably priced with Racv discount. Polite & explain the process of tasks. A great mob!
